BiographyBorn as George Herbert Walker Bush on june 12, 1924 in Milton, Massachusetts. He attended Phillips Academy , a very elite boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts. Married Barbara Pierce ( January 19450 in Rye, New York. Later on they had six children together. On his 18th birthday he was enrolled in the U.S Naval Reserve to fight in World War II ( 1939-45). Served as an combat pilot , flying carrier-based torpedo bomber aircraft and a total of 58 combat missions. After the war, Bush attended Yale University to study economics and was captain of the baseball team. He graduated in 1948. Moving to Midland, Texas, He started a career in oil industry and petroleum industry. He was the president of an independent offshore oil drilling company. He served two years in the U.S house of representatives, U.S ambassador to the United Nations in 1971, Republican National committee in the watergate scandal, U.S envoy to china, and director of the central intelligence agency in 1976. Reagan re-elected in 1984, with bush serving as his vice- president for both terms. Became president of the U.S in 1989.

Exxon Valdez was the worst oil spill. Exxon super tanker runs aground in southeastern Alaska. Tankers had dump 240,000 barrels of oil into the surrounding waters and causing extensive environmental damage on March 24, 1989. A storm blew in afterwards, more than 1,000 miles of coastline was fouled. Thousands of animals perished because of this oil spill. ADA It was signed into a law on July 26, 1990, by President George H. W. W Bush. The ADA prohibits discrimination and guarantees that the people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else. Economic issuesSaving & Loan Scandal
The Saving and Loan Scandal was the largest theft in the history of the world. It Began in 1980 when the government raised the federal insurance on Saving and Loans from $40,000 to $100,000 even though the typical savings account was only around $6000. Between 1981 - 1989, Bush had announced that there was a Saving & loan crisis to the world. Reagan and Bush worked to cover up the Saving & loan problem by reducing the number.
